Sad news today.  Miss England, Rachel Christie, has given up her title after reports surfaced that she was involved in a nightclub brawl with fellow contestant, Miss Manchester.

Apparently we live in a world where beauty queens can not engage in bar room fisticuffs without being stripped of their tiaras.  And what is that supposed to teach our young people?

 I just randomly found this on tumblr; but I honestly don’t understand what the original poster means.

Is she saying that we should have let her keep her title and sent the message that it’s absolutely fine to participate in drunken fighting and that no consequence will come of it?

I completely agree that she should have been stripped of her tiara/title.
